Born in Hong Kong and raised in the UK from the age of three, Jensen’s personal journey embodies the modern Canadian immigrant experience. After moving to the UK as a child, he faced the challenges of adapting to a new culture with resilience, shaping his early ability to navigate diverse environments. In 1994, Jensen chose to reconnect with his heritage by moving to Hong Kong, where he joined the prestigious Alan Chan Design, Asia’s leading branding agency. His time in Asia saw him expand into advertising with successful tenures at top agencies like Leo Burnett, FCB, and Batey Ads, where he contributed to iconic brands such as Cathay Pacific.
After two decades of success in Hong Kong, Jensen embarked on his second immigrant journey, relocating with his family to Toronto, Canada. For the past decade, he has leveraged his global experience, combining insights from Asia, the UK, and Canada to bring fresh, innovative perspectives to Dyversity. His vision for the agency is to create new opportunities for clients and strengthen the business community within Canada’s dynamic multicultural marketing landscape.
As an immigrant, Jensen deeply understands the complexities of the settlement experience and is passionate about embracing the diversity of New Canadians. “Every day at work is an opportunity to celebrate my culture, explore how the landscape is evolving, and emphasize the vital role New Canadians play in shaping the future of our country,” he says.
Jensen’s unique global perspective, creativity, and empathy make him a true advocate for inclusivity, driving Dyversity’s mission to deliver cutting-edge solutions in today’s ever-evolving marketplace.
